Our furniture
All of our furniture is made to order, crafted directly by artists and designers in Japan and Taiwan.
Japanese artisans have been perfecting their craft for over a thousand years, blending deep-rooted traditions with modern creativity. Taiwan, long influenced by Japanese culture, has fostered a new generation of designers who embrace this influence while forging their own unique identities.
In densely populated cities like Tokyo and Taipei, furniture designers create tasteful and functional pieces that seamlessly fit both large and small spaces. We believe these thoughtfully designed furnishings will be equally appreciated in American homes.
About us
We are Le and Dora, a couple from Taiwan who have been living in Seattle, Washington, for nearly a decade. As Seattle's population grows, we’ve noticed a rising trend toward smaller homes and a greater appreciation for elegant design. At the same time, there is a growing admiration for East Asian art and craftsmanship. Inspired by these observations, we created Rakugu to bring thoughtfully curated Japanese and Taiwanese furniture to an audience that values both beauty and functionality.
In her free time, Dora also creates floral arrangements, adding a touch of natural artistry to our passion for design. We hope you enjoy our furniture and our flowers!
